Yohanna

Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (born 16 October 1990 in Copenhagen, Denmark), widely known as Yohanna, is an Icelandic singer. In 2009, Jóhanna won the Icelandic Eurovision preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Is It True?, gaining nearly double the number of televotes as the runner-up. At Eurovision in Moscow, Russia she participated in the first semi-final and the final, winning the semi-final and coming 2nd in the final with 218 points, matching Iceland’s best placing in the contest.

In 2011 Jóhanna returned to the Icelandic pre-selection with the song Nótt, which qualified for the final, finishing in 3rd place. She returned again in 2013 with Þú but this time failed to make the final. She has since moved to Norway and continues releasing music, recently in duets with popular Icelandic bands.
